Employee Selection





Employee Selection is the process of putting right men on right job. It is a procedure of matching organizational requirements with the skills and qualifications of people. Effective selection can be done only when there is effective matching. By selecting best candidate for the required job, the organization will get quality performance of employees. Moreover, organization will face less of absenteeism and employee turnover problems. By selecting right candidate for the required job, organization will also save time and money.
SCREENING PROCESS FOR SELECTION OF A COLLEGE LECTURER IN PSYCHOLOGY
The screening process will only then be started when there are vacancies available for the post. The process of screening for the selection of a lecturer in Psychology is described below:
JOB DESCRIPTION 
A copy of transcript showing master’s in Psychology & other degrees (matriculation to masters).
Only those candidates can apply who are in the age range of 21 to 28 years.
Candidates having research work and publications will be entertained with additional marks.
Only those candidates can apply who is Pakistani national.
A copy of national ID card will be attached with the documents.
A copy of domicile mentioning the applicant’s district must also be attached.
Pay = BS-17
Date of test and interview will be informed to potentially eligible candidates later via letter and it will also be uploaded on PPSC’s site. Any other information related to the job can be checked on PPSC’s site.
APPLICATION OF FILE PLACE 
Applicants who meet the above mentioned criteria must place their file to the office of PPSC with a complete filled form along with the photocopies of above mentioned documents. Only those forms will be considered for further considerations which are duly filled. Incomplete forms will not be considered further.
SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process consists of the following steps:
Initial Screening
All applicants’ files will be checked and only those applicants’ files will be further entertained which are duly filled and are attached with the photocopies of required documents. Incomplete forms will not be considered further.
Call Letter for Test
Those candidates who will be selected after initial screening will be informed through a letter about the date and time of test which will be conducted for the selection process and the result of the test will be uploaded on PPSC’ site.
Comprehensive Interview
  Those candidates who will pass the test will be informed through a letter about the time and date of the interview. The names of the candidates who will clear the interview will be uploaded on the PPSC’s site.
Background Investigation
A background investigation will be done in order to confirm the bio data and the information given by the candidate. Background investigation will be done in order to eradicate the chances of negligence hiring.
Conditional Job Offer
A job on conditional basis will be offered to the candidates who will clear the all above mentioned steps. The job will be conditioned to employee’s performance for a specific period of time. Only those employees who will perform better and will be able to produce good results in the probationary period will be offered permanent job.


Medical 
A complete medical examination is must and job will be offered to only those candidates who will be declared medically fit for the job by the medical board.
Permanent Job Offer
If the employee’s performance and attitude in the probationary period will be found satisfactory then a permanent job will be offered to the employee and the employee can entertain himself/.herself with all the benefits and allowances attached to the job.
